Welcome

I am a web developer living in West Sussex, England. I specialise in writing web based applications in PHP using MySQL or PostgreSQL for database hosting. My preferred platform is Debian Linux. I have been using PHP since version 4.0 and now almost exclusively use PHP5.x.

In my spare time, I am currently working on an application framework that I created called Bread which seeks to emulate some of the Ruby on Rails functionality in a PHP environment. It uses several design patterns including the MVC pattern, the ActiveRecord pattern and the Singleton pattern. The main aim of the framework is to provide a RAD style environment for the development of small scale web applications.
